Conserving land through outreach, restoration and research.
Our Mission
The mission of the Sally Judith McLellan Foundation is to promote the public welfare through the science-based restoration of sustainable ecosystems and to educate the public and their decision makers as to the public good achieved through the restoration of North American lands, wetlands, and waterways to a pre-Columbian condition by grants and public dialogue.
In so doing we hope to restore and “rewild” bears, beavers, birds, bison, wolves, wolverines, native fish, native amphibians, and native reptiles.

OUR FOUNDER
The Sally and Judith McLellan Wildlife Foundation was initiated by Dr. Richard McLellan, who is now survived by his loving wife, Judith, his sister Sara. He spent over thirty years supporting the animal rights movements, primarily focusing on legislative action to improve the state of animal rights by forming the Animal Legislative Action Network. Rich also founded “Rewind Rhino Extinction, in an effort to save the critically endangered Northern White Rhinos. His conservation legacy lives on with the foundation as we work to restore lands, wetlands, and waterways to pre-Colombian condition.
